Councillors Welcome New Road Markings At Busy Roundabout

New road markings have been laid at the busy Pwllypant roundabout in Caerphilly, a move that has been welcomed by Llanbradach councillors.

Plaid Cymru ward members Colin Mann and Gary Enright started lobbying late last year for improvements to be made.

Councillor Colin Mann said: “People were getting increasingly concerned when  using the roundabout, especially in dark wet conditions when it was extremely difficult to see any markings at all.”

Fellow councillor Gary Enright said: “The old markings had faded badly so new markings were desperately needed and they will undoubtedly improve road safety at this very busy junction.”

Caerphilly Council told the councillors the majority of the markings at Pwllypant had been refreshed and the remaining small areas would be completed later this month.
